From the grounds, @mariaphilippis new venture @ballandclawantiques resembles a spa with striped umbrellas, tables and chairs and a cocktail truck (Stockade Tavern’s Bar & Claw 4-8pm on weekends). Inside there’s a café that serves light breakfast and lunch goodies and oh so delicious coffee from 8am-3pm. Then comes the main act - room after room of antiques from several different dealers (every day from 11-5pm). Check out the dreamy wall colors throughout. Because it all stems from Maria’s amazingly inventive brain, watch out for future events/expansions….maybe a weekend flea market? Maybe a seasonal farmer’s market? They’ll offer tours of the engines and fire house with several fire fighters on hand to answer any recruitment questions. On the side, in a tented area, they plan to sell bottled water, gelato and ice cream as well as HFFD T-shirts. They’ll even have a water station for dogs and any other pets who happen to pass by.
